About Latin Club

Latin club membership is not required, but it is strongly encouraged for all Latin students. The Latin club at SAS is very active and hosts fun activities throughout the year. Joining Latin club does not require you participate in any particular activities, but it does allow you the opportunity to participate in our local, state, and national competitions, as well as the opportunity to join the National Latin Honor Society.

Spring Latin events:

This year's conventions:

The Junior Classical League offers many opportunities for competition, including academics, athletics, and arts. This year's local, state, and national competition dates are as follows:
Area F Convention: February 19-20 at St. Andrew's Upper School
State Convention: March 26-27 at Lake Travis High School
National Convention: July 27-August 1 at North Dakota State University, Fargo
Because of the costs of attending state and national conventions, members who wish to have part of their costs covered by school funds are expected to contribute to our fund raising efforts.
